On Saturday, October 2, 2004, the Liberty High School Instrumental Music Boosters hosted the 22^nd annual “Extravaganza.”  Nine marching bands participated in this event sanctioned by the Tournament of Bands. In the Group I category, Brunswick High School placed first with a score of 80.7 winning specialty awards for Best Music, Band Front, Drum Major and Percussion. Northern High School placed second in Group I with a score of 75.5, and North Carroll High School placed third with a score of 72.55. In Group II, Reservoir High School placed first with a score of 79.85 winning all specialty awards. Williamsport High School won first in Group III, also winning all specialty awards. The Shepherd University Ram Band from Shepherdstown, WV and the Lion's Pride Marching Band both performed in exhibition.
