The Liberty High School Instrumental Music Boosters are preparing for an exciting 2007 Tournament of Bands marching season and we invite marching bands in the region to compete at our Marching Band Extravaganza scheduled for September 15th, 2007, beginning at 6:00 pm (tentative). As we host our Silver Anniversary 25th competition, we look forward to this event which always showcases some of the top bands in the Mid-Atlantic region. Judging will be done by the National Judging Association under the Tournament of Band Rules. This is a sanctioned TOB show with credit towards qualification for Chapter Championships. There will be special awards given for each group in the areas of drum major, auxiliary, and percussion. Click here for an Extravaganza registration form. Upon receiving your completed registration, we will forward an email confirming your registration. Approximately three weeks prior to the show you will receive a package containing the contest schedule, a vicinity map and diagram of the school campus and contest field, visitor tickets, etc. We encourage you to reply promptly, as this year’s order of performance will be the inverse of the order in which we receive your completed registration. In each group, the last band accepted will perform first. Please be sure to include your e-mail address as this is most efficient way to provide timely information to the directors.
